With our guests we had some wonderful evenings, creating splendid Dutch dishes. Depending on the season, we cooked pea soup (erwtensoep), bite-size croquettes with various flavours (bitterballen), chicken soup with salmon, asparagus soup with ham, carrot and potato mash (hutspot), apple and potato mash (hete bliksem) and super desserts, like strawberry delight, buttermilk pudding, rice pudding, semolina pudding.
